Now Hiring Full-Time Firefighter/NREMT

The Westview-Fairforest Fire Department (WFFD) is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as full-time firefighters, with a preference for candidates holding NREMT-B certification. These roles will involve responding to various emergencies, including fire suppression and medical calls, on a rotation shift schedule of 24 hours on duty followed by 48 hours off.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid South Carolina Class E Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record for at least 3 years

• IFSAC Firefighter II certification

• NREMT Basic Certification preferred (Candidates without certification must obtain it within one year of employment)

• Preferred experience or certification in EVDT and Pump Operations 1

• Ability to work the rotation schedule of 24 hours on/48 hours off

Post-Hire Requirements:

Upon being hired, candidates will need to successfully complete:

• Pre-employment Physical, TB, and Drug Screening

• SLED Background Check

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual salary of $45,048.63
